By default, Biomia uses Gemma 2B running directly on your device if compatible, along with a downloadable food database for offline use. Gemini 2.5 Flash Lite in the cloud only comes into play if your device doesn't support the local model or if you request more advanced analysis. If you prefer the cloud never be used, you can enable "100% Private Mode" from settings, and the AI will work exclusively locally using rules.
